Vermont is a small state and it is extremely important retailers join together to ensure they have a voice, with the necessary resources and support of the retail community, before the state legislature and various regulatory agencies. Full-time VRGA representation promotes your best interests to state government and our elected officials in Washington. We have opportunities for members to advertise in our monthly newsletter, on our website and at our many events. Becoming an authorized 3SquaresVT Retailer will increase your sales and provide an important service to your customers and your community. 3SquaresVT supports both the people who receive benefits and local retailers. Each year VRGA offers scholarships to help members' employees and/or their children further their education. Scholarship announcements are sent out in February with applications due by the end of April. Learn more about our scholarship program here. VRGA's publication keeps members abreast of regulatory and legislative issues as well as news about the retail industry. Retail members may use the classified ad section at no charge. VRGA brings professional seminars and workshops to Vermont each year on topics like financing, composting, exit planning and more - "meeting the needs of both retail and associate members." The Vermont Retail & Grocers Association, along with the other NE State Retail Associations, is proud to support the New England Organized Crime Alliance (NEORCA). NEORCA is a statewide crime-fighting partnership which allows retailers and law enforcement to communicate about criminal activity impacting businesses on a real-time basis while preventing other partners from being victimized. The searchable website and its mapping capabilities are focused on providing real-time crime alert system. VRGA offers a number of other programs and services, including answers to your questions. The association is constantly evaluating new benefits and services to better serve its members!
