Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company began as a community effort to save a local dairy farm, and has grown to be an award-winning producer of farmstead and artisan cheese using 100% Vermont milk and making old-world style cheeses with Vermont quality, authenticity and style. In 2013, VFCC purchased Castleton Crackers combining Vermont artisan cheese and crackers under one umbrella.
Farm operations is currently milking approximately 70 cows, with 5 distinct breeds represented in the herd. We produce 16 different artisan and farmstead cheeses from our soft-ripened Lillé, to our award winning Governor's and AleHouse cheddars, to our flavored WindsorDale line.
